ALL OF OUR FURNITURE IS HANDCRAFTED HERE IN OUR COLORADO WORKSHOP by expert woodworkers. All joinery is performed using time tested techniques. We utilize the skills of experienced local artisans for our upholstery.

Eco Wool
From the beginning we knew we wanted to work with Eco Wool. Here is why:
Eco Wool is naturally mold and mildew resistant, and it is almost entirely hypo-allergenic.
It is a great insulator free from chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

It reduces the erosion of the soil through proper grazing techniques and no sheep predators are shot since they are guarded by herding dogs.

It promotes healthier sheep through improved veterinarian practices with less chemicals.
Wool is a renewable, sustainable resource, harvested annually by shearing the sheep. Humane treatment allows for less cuts or bruising.

FSC Certified Bamboo
The simple and versatile bamboo can have a very positive impact in the world:

Bamboo is by far the fastest growing plant on this planet (some species grow up to 1 meter/day) and has a very short growth cycle. Enduring and renewable, this natural resource helps to increase the oxygen levels in the atmosphere and contributes to the economies of developing countries that promote this responsible replacement for wood.

Bamboo’s optimal growth makes it an excellent renewable resource that can be harvested annually. A fast option for the greening of degraded areas, an efficient purifier of the atmosphere and the soil, a stitching material for fragile river banks, Bamboo is also one of the strongest building materials, with an impressive tensile strength.

This mighty plant provides income, food and housing to over 2 billion people worldwide. It is no surprise that many countries have become truly interested in the economics of bamboo.

100% Natural Latex

Natural latex comes from heven brasiliensis or the rubber tree. Its white milk-like juice is whipped and baked, and then it becomes natural latex. It is by far the best natural material for padding.

Natural latex does not require springs while it offers a consistent firmness throughout the whole cushion surface. The whole process does not harm the tree. Natural latex is a non-wood forestry product that helps many local economies.

EcoMod Designs uses 100% Natural Latex instead of polyurethane foam. Unlike traditional polyurethane foams, our foam has no chemical off-gassing and promotes indoor air quality.
